Island Country Club
The
Pearl of the Orient's newest recreational resort, Pearl Island Country
Club, promises a love affair with golf enthusiasts. 
Spreading
over 5,610 yards, the beautifully landscaped 18-hole golf course
was designed by an experienced Australian team and has been described
by avid golfers as both "friendly yet challenging". Its
location amongst gentle slopes and ponds and the 69 Par course highlights
some of Mother Nature's most attractive features.
Set
in the very heart of the Bayan Lepas township, Pearl Island is about
30 minutes away from George Town, 15 minutes from the bridge and
only five minutes from the Penang International Airport. Little
bright yellow road signs along the way will lead you directly to
this much-talked about recreational hideaway.
Open
to the public as well, Pearl Island Country Club is the only golf
club in the northern region that has a fully equipped 9-hole night
golfing facility. This is a much welcome feature for those whose
games have often suffered because of the sweltering tropical weather.
